About Course
Pharmacy diploma programs, known as D. Pharm. programs, last two years. This brief course meets the requirements needed to become a registered pharmacist. It covers the manufacture, formulation, usage, and other characteristics of pharmaceuticals. The Board of Technical Education, located in Lucknow (U.P), and the Pharmacy Council of India, located in New Delhi, have both approved this course. Upon successful completion of this course, individuals may pursue careers in marketing, patient counselling, pharmacy, and other fields.
An undergraduate education in the discipline of pharmacy is the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm). One of the most well-liked career-focused courses for scientific students following class 12 is the B.Pharm. The students in this course learn about pharmaceutical engineering, medicinal chemistry, and other topics related to medications and treatments. Numerous career prospects in the public and business sectors are offered by this training. The Pharmacy Council
of India has approved this course.
School of Pharmacy offers 2-year M Pharm Programme in two specialization areas namely Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacology.
Ph.D. Programme is offered in four research specializations viz., Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy.

Pharmacology deals with the effect and fate of drugs in the biological system. Pharmacology is a multidisciplinary area which requires expert knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathophysiology and clinical sciences. Pharmacology provides the platform for establishing the therapeutic potential for new agents and formulations. Pharmacology is essential for the metamorphosis of compounds  into drugs. The pharmacology specialization of the department provides instructional and research training to the students in the areas of drug evaluation and discovery.
Pharmaceutics is concerned with the design and development of suitable dosage form for a drug and strategies to deliver the drug to the desired site of action in the body. The state of the art design of a stable, safe and effective pharmaceutical drug formulation including modern Nano formulations involves several unique strategies to blend the drug into a suitable pharmaceutical matrix comprising of polymer(s) and recipients together which on administration to patients delivery the drug into biological matrix. The pharmaceutics specialization of the department provides practical and research training to the students in the areas of drug formulation, drug delivery etc.
