B Tech ME or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering is a 4 year undergraduate degree course that deals with the functioning of machines, operating of automobiles, maintenance of varied mechanical components and instrumentality, design and analysis of product or prototypes, analysis of various mechanical components or machines along with computer aided advancements in mechanical field like software assisted designing, analysis, process planning, machining, testing etc.

Candidates who are having desire to make a career in this field of engineering should have completed 10 + 2 from recognized board with certain eligibility as per university rules. Admissions to this stream is completed via entrance test-based (IIT-JEE mainly) and by merit-based.

The four years are divided into eight semesters. Tech ME or Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering is a postgraduate programme in the field of engineering. It is a two year PG course offered by Department of Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Mechanical Engineering (Regular). The M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering facilitates to understand the applications of Mechanical Engineering. This course is comprised of subjects or curriculum focusing on advanced studies and research in Mechanical Engineering Field.

The course highlights the use of latest technologies like Artificial Intelligence, advanced robotics, turbo-machinery, CAD-CAM, hybrid manufacturing, intelligent materials, Industry 4.0, 4D printing technology, NEMS, Digital Twins, hyper-loop technology, IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), Autonomous Vehicle, Agile Manufacturing, and CFD etc.
