The Department of Applied Science and Humanities (AS&H) serves as the academic cornerstone for all first-year students in the institute. The department plays a vital role in building a strong foundation in fundamental subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Soft Skills, which are crucial for engineering education.

AS&H is supported by a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members who are passionate about teaching and research. State-of-the-art laboratories and a dynamic academic environment further enhance the learning experience of students in their formative year. The department has well equipped laboratories to impart practical training. Language lab has als  been set up in the Department, which is equipped with modern facilities (Pronunciation Software) enabling it to be used as a language lab. The purpose of the language lab is to brush-up the communication skills of students for transforming their personality. We not only focus on academic rigor but also encourage students to develop soft skills, creativity, and a scientifi  temperament—preparing them to meet the challenges of higher technical education and professional careers ahead.
