The Department of Information Technology is responsible for conducting B.Tech (IT) programme with an intake of 120 students affiliated to Mahamaya Technical University, Noida. The Department has tie up with reputed IT companies like TCS, HP, and IBM. The Department is having highly experienced and qualified faculty members from reputed Institutions/Universities. Many of the faculty members are certified on DB2 9.0, IBM Tivoli TDS 6.1, RFT software tools .

IT is working as a hub to drive the businesses to new heights. IT jobs are more paying as well as more demanding. To continuously learn and grasp new technologies is a real challenge for IT professionals. Creating such professionals to take this challenge and rise to the apex of IT profession is our goal.

To impart good quality undergraduate engineering education, the department focuses on development of practical and application oriented minds.

All computer laboratories of the department are powered by the latest hardware configuration and software technologies. The department enjoys 24-hrs internet connectivity on high speed LAN network and is supported by WLAN network too. It also enjoys support of online IEEE and other journals which are accessible to all students and faculty members.

Mr.Sudeep Tanwar

Mr. Sudeep Tanwar, Currently working as Associate Professor & Head of Information Technology  Department at Bharat Institute of Technology ,received his Bachelor's Degree (B.Tech) from Kurukshetra University in 2002, and holds a Master's Degree (M.Tech), with honours in Information Technology from Guru Gobing Singh Inderprastha University (USIT Campus), Govt University in 2009, as well as Pursuing Doctoral Degree with specialization in Wireless Sensor Network since 2010, Course work completed in July 2011 under Dr Neeraj Kumar of Thapar University, Patiala.

He has published many research papers in high quality National/International journals/National/ International conferences.



-Mr. Sudeep Tanwar has published 1 paper in International journal and 1 paper in National conference and 2 in IEEE conference.

-Ms Tanushree Gupta has published 1 International and 1 national paper

-Ms Tanushree Gupta got Gold medal from Dev group of Industries for the year 2011 regarding excellence in education.

-Ms Jaishree Jain presented a paper in an International conference ‘Confer-12’, titled “Enhanced robustness on Gray Scale Image”.

1)  Graduate of the program will adopt to the continues changes in Information Technology.

2)  Graduate of the program will have successful professional carrier.

3)  Graduate will be able to communicate and work as a part of team in order to be an effective member of the work place and the society.


Program Outcome

Students in B-Tech in Information Technology programme will, at the time of their graduation will be in possession of:

a. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals as it applies to the field of Information Technology.

b. An ability to identify, formulates, and solves problems related to Information Technology.

c. An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as collect data, analyze and interpret results

d. An ability to design and validate software problem using sound Information Technology principles.

e. An ability to use the techniques ,skills and modern software tools necessary for Information Technology practice.

f. An ability to understand the impact of Information Technology solutions on the society.  

g. An ability to demonstrate the understanding of professional, ethical and environmental responsibilities.  

h. An ability to work effectively in a team

i. An ability to communicate effectively.

j. An ability to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of management principles and working in multi-disciplinary team.

The labs have over 390 state of the machines in 13 Computer Labs. All the Labs are equipped with latest peripherals, and fully license software. The campus is fully wi-fi.The Department is having following labs:
