Department of EC


The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) has been in existence since the inception of the institute (2001). The present intake of the department is 120. The department has started M.Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engineering) in the academic session 2012-13 having intake of 18 students
The department has a rich tradition in teaching, research & placement. The research interest of the faculty members and students of the department encompass the wide area of applied and fundamental aspects of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Collaboration in between the research groups of the department and with other departments is also a practice. The broad areas of research and academic activities in the department are:

-Communication Systems
-Embedded system Technologies
-Microelectronics and VLSI
-RF and Microwave Engineering
-Signal processing
-Antenna and Networking

In addition to the well equipped curriculum related laboratories, the Department has many state of the art facilities for assisting research and development in solid state devices, VLSI, RF Engineering, digital signal processing, computer aided design (CAD) Lab. These have been set up with support from Government agencies and industries.
The project lab equipped with various instruments and tools like NV 5001 microcontroller development board, advanced solder and de-solder station, universal programmer, CPLD/FPGA programmer kit etc, which helps the students to design and implement complicated electronics circuitry and enhance their technical skills to analyze the complicated problems of electronics and communication engineering.

Keeping in line with fast changing technology, the department has established a Wipro Mission 10x Technology Learning centre with collaboration of Wipro to enhance the quality of engineering students with a focus on industry needs and research expertise. In this a Unified Learning Kit (ULK) is introduced under integrated learning framework to facilitate hands-on learning of advanced engineering technologies.



Mr. Anurag Singhal has been working with Bharat Group of Institute since 2002 He has received his B. E degree in Electronics Engineering from Nagpur University, M. Tech degree in VLSI Design from UPTU, Lucknow and pursuing his PhD from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow in the field of VLSI design. He has got teaching and research experience of more than 15 years. His research area includes analog circuit designing and Embedded system designing. He has published many research papers in international and national journals and proceedings. He has keen interest in reading books, journals, interacting with students. He maximize student participation in the department and keeps the administration transparent.

 Program Outcomes:

-An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as collect data, analyze and interpret results.
-An ability to design and validate an analog and digital system or process as per needs and specifications.
-An  ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
-An ability to understand the impact of electronics & communication engineering solutions on the society.
-An ability to demonstrate the understanding of professional ,ethical and environmental responsibilities.
-An ability to visualize and work in laboratory and understanding of individual and team responsibilities.
-An ability to communicate effectively.
-An ability to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of management principles and working in multi-disciplinary team.
-An ability to recognize the need for, and be able to engage in life-long learning.

1-Graduates of the programme will adapt to the continuous changing in the field of Electronics & Communication engineering.
2-Graduates of the programme will have a successful professional career.
3-Graduates will be able to communicate and work as a part of a team in order to be an effective member of the work place and  the society.
