Department of CE


The Department offers B.Tech Civil Engineering program of 4 years duration. The eligibility for admission is in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow. The department came in existence in 2007 and already 2 batches have passed out in June 2011 and June 2012 respectively.

The Department is headed by Dr. M L Sadana, B.Sc (Agra), B.E. (Civil) and M.E. (Civil) Hons (Roorkee), Ph.D (BHU), FIE, FIV, FIGS. Dr. Sadana is also convener of Board of Studies, Civil Engg. Group, MTU. The intake for admission is 120 students per annum. The present strength of faculty members in the department is 24, fully satisfying AICTE norms.

The department aims to develop the ability in students to identify and formulating the problem, acquiring latest technical skills and provide a logical engineering solution globally acceptable with professional and social ethics.

Accreditation :

The Department is in the process of accreditation by NBA, AICTE.

The Department provides in house training in designing and drafting software –

-MS Project / Primaveera
The Department provides training on Staad Pro and Microstation through Bentley in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

Conferences / Seminars / Workshops :

The Department encourages participation by presenting papers in journals, conferences and seminars. Recently department organized a  National Seminar on the topic “Applications of Geomembranes and Green Civil Engineering Construction” on 26 – 27 Feb 2013. All the  faculty members are certified by Wipro Mission 10X.

Survey Camp/Visits :

The Department organizes a Survey Camp every year and arranges visit of students to ongoing construction projects.

Industrial Visits :

Every student is assigned for industrial training for 4 to 6 weeks during summer.

The department of Civil Engineering came into existence in 2007 with an intake of 60 students in I Year, two batches have already passed out in June 2011 and June 2012.

It is an important achievement that in 2008, the intake of students was 120 and this is being increased to 180 for the year 2013-14.
The time when the college was started the number of faculty members was only few which has now being increased to 24 in 2012-13 and still it is in progress.

The students who passed out in June 2011 and June 2012 are known to appointed some where or the other by their own and or with the help of Training & Placement Department of this institution.

During last years we have been able to develop all the necessary following labs fully equipped with necessary instruments in each lab, specially the Computer lab is fully equipped with 60 desktops and latest softwares such as Autocad, Primavera, Microstation, Staad Pro etc.

All the class rooms and labs are provided with CCTV camera and CCTV in the room of HOD. The department has a Seminar Hall fully equipped with LCD Projector etc.

Important software training with the help of Bentley was given to the students such as Autocad, Staad Pro, Microstation etc.

The department encourages participation by presenting papers in generals, conferences and seminars, as a result recently a seminar was conducted by the department for the subject  “Application of Geomembrane and Green Civil Engineering Construction” on 26-27 Feb 2013. Also all the faculty members are certified by Wipro Mission 10X.

It is important to note down that as a test one room for teaching the students is specially provided with Interactive Board.

The department organizes survey camp every year and also arranges visit of students to ongoing construction projects.



The department is headed by a well qualified and experienced HOD named Dr. M L Sadana and also 24 well qualified faculty members satisfying AICTE norms.

Department of Civil Engineering is fully equipped, independent building with the accommodation of independent rooms for I Year to IV Year classes, in each class having students from 120 to 136. The department is also equipped with the following independent laboratories.
